Current Pairings
Planned for 2009/2010
Cahaya is a big, beautiful Biak girl with a lot of black on her scales. She was a red baby; I believe she has a lot of potential for some crazy offspring!
Biru is a blue-line male, the sire of the '09 clutch with Bushira. I decided to see what blue-line and Biak would produce ... especially with the fact that Biru has some strongly melanistic siblings!
Events Timeline - Blue x Biak Project
10-01-09  Began cooling both animals
10-10-09 Introduced Biru to Cahaya. Immediate interest!
10-25-09 Removed Biru, as they had permanently separated. Biru was in shed.

11-10-09 Cahaya is stil eating, but re-introduction of Biru was non-productive - no interest on either party's part. We'll just have to see what happens!
A Repeat Performance - Bushira and Biru
Last year, this couple gave me 2 beautiful babies - they are a winning combination, and Bushira was very receptive to Biru upon introduction (seen above). Biru is getting lots of action this season - LOL!! Fingers are crossed!
Blue x "New Blue" Events Timeline
11/10/09 - Introduced pair, no previous cooling. Cooling begun upon mutual interest
11/14/09 Bushira threw a monkey wrench in the works by shedding ... but compulation resumed post shed.
11/21/09  Biru and Bushira have ceased copulating, and Biru was removed this morning. I  am hopeful!

12/8/09 Bushira is off feed, and shows signs of developing follicles.
1/15/10 Sadly, Bushira absorbed her follicles when an injury to her tail resulted in medical treatment with accompanying stress. Hopefully, she will recover without further complications.
1/5/10 Cahaya contines to eat; I don't see any hope for eggs this year.
